and Guidelines
LDC offers 2 different scholarship programs; one focuses in helping Latin American graduated dentist living in California validate their dental license and the second focusing on helping and supporting young dental and dental hygiene students.
Option 1
The “LDC International Dentist Scholarship for California” which is offer in an effort to improve the oral health of all Californians, by helping Latino international dentist to validate their education in California. This is achieved by providing 10, $500 dollar scholarships to help pay for books, license applications, etc. and also by showing support and creating opportunities to meet other successful Latinos in the field of dentistry.

The “Latinos for Dental Careers Scholarship” For Dental and Dental Hygiene Students.
Qualifying applicants: Dental students, Dental Hygiene students, International student dentists.
- Dental students, dental hygenist students accepted to or attending dental school programs
- Award is $1,000
- Awards will be credited to the student's University Student Account.
Deadline for applications: Deadline for application: Applications will be accepted beginning January 4, 2010 and the final deadline will be MAY 31, 2010. Recipients will be notified by August 1st
Applicants may apply for subsequent scholarships.
Awardees will be recognized at the annual meeting of the LDC
Decisions on scholarship recipients and award amounts by the Scholarship Committee are final.
